Richmond Stace — Chronic Pain Specialist, The Pain Coach, Chartered Physiotherapist – is here to help you understand your pain as that first step to moving on.

He will be joined by members of the Footsteps Festival team, Louise Trewern and Niki Jones who both have lived experience of persistent pain.

Richmond will give a brief talk about the latest thinking in pain, bringing the modern science and philosophy to you in a practical way.

Then he will answer your questions, which you can send in before or put in the chat on the day.

The event will be recorded and put on the Footsteps Festival YouTube channel but if you can make it to the live event that would be great! All those who sign up will be sent a link to the recording.

Richmond has been working in healthcare for over 30 years, much of that time dedicated to helping people understand and overcome chronic pain.

He has a unique background in nursing, rehabilitation, sport science, physiotherapy, coaching, various psychological therapies, and pain science that he has brought together to pioneer Pain Coaching.

Richmond works 1:1 with people, teaches, trains and mentors clinicians and therapists, writes (Pain Coaching book coming soon), hosts the Encourager podcast and is involved in humanitarian work with Palestinian healthcare professionals.

His purpose is to change the way people and society thinks about pain so that we can ease the enormous amount of suffering caused by chronic pain.
